This 8 Year Old CEO Will Tell You Why Cyber Security is Important

Who is Reuben and How he Developed Interest in Cybersecurity?

Born in Austin, Texas, Reuben Paul's knack for cybersecurity could be traced back to the time when he was 4 or 5 years old. When his 1st-grade teacher at Harmony School of Science asked what he wanted to become in the future, he expressed his desire of becoming a cyber spy. His interest grew further as he listened to his father, who is also a cybersecurity and IT expert, taking business calls. He then started learning about information security and programming and since then, there has been no coming back. Reuben is also the youngest American person to receive the Shaolin Do Kung Fu Black Belt at the age of 7. Apart from his other heroics, he has also delivered a number of international cybersecurity conferences and keynote speeches.

Reuben Paul is a popular name in the Cyber Security space. He is popular for a lot of reasons - his humor, his cyber security intelligence and most important of all, for the fact that he is just 8 years old!

This US-based child prodigy of Indian origin is a regular at top security conferences where he speaks about the need for developing cyber security skills in the current generation. These top event organizers jestingly call him " chairperson" at the conferences where he lectures - not because he heads a company but because at 8 years of age, Reuben Paul, CEO and founder of Austin, Texas-based company Prudent Games, needs to stand on a chair to reach the microphone on top of the lectern.

Prudent Games, which makes games that combine educational content with fun, also had an App which shows children how to come up with secure passwords and another about the basics of Bruteforce attacks, which is used by hackers to, among other things, crack passwords.

Oh, and Reuben holds the title of being America's youngest Kung-fu black belt.

It is exciting to see kids understand cyber security so well which is a clear sign that the CXOs of the world need to take this seriously too.
